Refund, Cancellation & Bad Weather Policy
Thank you for choosing Dream Scenes Studio. To protect the rights of both parties, please read our refund, cancellation, and bad weather policies carefully before making a reservation. Our policies differ depending on whether you are booking a “Studio Venue Rental” or an “Equipment On-Location Rental”.
A. Studio Venue Rental
1. Booking and Refund Policy
- Once a booking is confirmed, there is a 24-hour payment window. Customers must complete the payment within this period. If the payment is not completed within 24 hours, the booking will be considered automatically forfeited.
- A deposit is required to confirm the booking, and the remaining balance must be paid on the day of the venue use. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.
- Venue usage time will start strictly at the scheduled booking time. No compensation time will be provided for late arrivals.
- Each rental session includes a 5-minute complimentary preparation time. If you leave more than 5 minutes after your scheduled end time, an additional full hour will be charged.
2. Bad Weather Arrangements
- If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning before 8:00 AM, all bookings for that day will be canceled.
- Customers can reschedule free of charge. The new shooting date must be completed within 30 days.
B. Equipment On-Location Rental
1. Cancellation or Modification of Orders
If the renter wishes to cancel or modify a confirmed equipment rental order, the following fees will apply:
- Cancellation 48 hours before the scheduled rental time: A charge of 30% of the total rental fee.
- Cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled rental time: A charge of 50% of the total rental fee.
- Modifications to the rental order are subject to the company’s availability and approval.
- If the renter applies for an extension of the rental, they must bear all additional costs and losses incurred.
2. Bad Weather Adjustments
- Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8: If issued within two hours before the scheduled rental time, the company allows the renter to reschedule or cancel the rental without penalty.
- Red Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 3: If issued before the scheduled rental time (or downgraded to this level from a higher warning), the rental will proceed as planned. Specific arrangements will be determined through mutual agreement.
