⚠️ Important Thermal Notice: This OCF softbox is custom-built exclusively for portable, battery-powered off-camera flashes utilizing LED modeling lights (such as the Profoto B10, B10 Plus, B1x, and B1 series). Due to its lightweight material composition, it is not heat-compatible with studio monolights or heads using hot high-wattage halogen modeling lamps (like the Profoto D2 1000W or Pro heads).

A: The primary differences are weight and heat resistance. OCF softboxes are built with featherlight, flexible materials and rubber speedrings tailored for fast location work, but can only handle the low heat of LED modeling lamps. RFi softboxes are heavier, reinforced studio modifiers built to withstand the intense thermal output of high-wattage halogen modeling lamps.

Q: Can I mount this OCF softbox onto a Profoto D2 1000W monolight?
A: No. We strictly advise against using OCF modifiers on the Profoto D2 series or studio lamp heads with 300W/600W halogen modeling lamps. The continuous high heat can scorch or melt the lightweight OCF fabrics. For the D2, please rent our Profoto RFi 1’x4′ strip box instead.
