Q: Is the D3 1250W compatible with lightweight Profoto OCF modifiers?
A: No. Due to the massive 1250W energy flash discharge and the wide circumference of the exposed glass dome, this monolight is physically incompatible with lightweight OCF modifiers. Using them can damage the fabrics. For the D3 1250W, please rent our studio-grade RFi softboxes or standard hard reflectors instead.

Q: Can I run this flash head using an external location battery pack?
A: The Profoto D3 1250W is an AC-only studio monolight designed to plug directly into standard mains power wall outlets. It does not utilize swappable battery packs. If your assignment requires total wireless cordless freedom for outdoor locations without access to AC power, we highly recommend renting our Profoto B30 or B10 series instead.
