Q: This light is very powerful. What kind of light stand is required?
A: The Gemini 2×1 Hard is a heavy, substantial fixture and its yoke is equipped with a 1 1/8″ Junior Pin. You must use a heavy-duty Combo Stand (with a junior receiver) to safely support it. Standard C-Stands or lightweight aluminum stands are strictly not suitable.

Q: Why would I choose the 2×1 “Hard” over the standard 2×1 “Soft”?
A: The “Hard” version gives you the best of both worlds. Its lensed LEDs produce an incredibly bright, punchy beam that can reach far distances or push through heavy diffusion. You can easily make this hard light soft by sliding in the included diffusers. However, a native “Soft” panel can never be converted into a hard, punchy light.

Q: Can I run the Gemini 2×1 Hard on V-Mount batteries?
A: Because this fixture draws a massive 500W of power, standard 14.4V V-Mount batteries are generally insufficient to run it at 100% output. To run it on battery power at full brightness, you will need to rent a specialized dual 26V/28.8V battery plate system or a 48V block battery station.
