This genuine 300W halogen bulb is engineered exclusively for the mains-powered AC versions of the Broncolor monolight family, including the Siros 400 / 800 and the high-end Siros 400S / 800S. It integrates perfectly with the fixture’s proportional dimming circuitry, allowing you to visually analyze shadow fall-off, specular gradients, and contrast ratios accurately before firing a single strobe burst.
Note: Although Hong Kong utilizes a 220V/240V mains grid, the internal electronics of AC-powered Siros units natively regulate and supply voltage to this specialized 120V lamp. This bulb is not compatible with the battery-powered Siros L series, which utilizes built-in LEDs.

A: No. The battery-operated Siros L series uses an integrated, specialized LED modeling light array to preserve battery life. This 300W halogen bulb is strictly for the plug-in AC-powered Siros and Siros S studio units.

Q: Why is this bulb rated at 120V if Hong Kong’s standard wall outlet is 220V?
A: Broncolor engineered the AC-powered Siros monolights with internal transformers that regulate the voltage down to feed this specific high-efficiency 120V lamp. As long as you plug your Siros unit into our studio mains, the light handles the conversion safely. Do not plug this bulb directly into third-party, non-regulated fixtures.

Q: How do I change this modeling lamp safely if it burns out during a shoot?
A: For absolute physical safety, you must completely power off the Siros unit, unplug it from the wall, and wait at least 15 minutes for the fixture to cool. Carefully remove the protective glass dome. Pull the old bulb straight out vertically without twisting. When inserting the new lamp, never touch the quartz glass with bare fingers—the skin oils will cause localized overheating and drastically shorten the bulb’s life. Always wear clean gloves or use a protective cloth.
