A: The primary difference is power capacity. The 3200J head is built with a heavy-duty flash tube and internal components designed to safely handle twice the power (up to 3200Ws) of the 1600J version.

Q: Which Broncolor power packs are required to use the Pulso G 3200J at full power?
A: To utilize the full 3200Ws capacity of this lamp head, you must connect it to a 3200J capable power pack, such as the Broncolor Scoro 3200 S, Scoro 3200 E, or the older Grafit 3200. It can be plugged into 1600J or 1200J packs, but its output will simply be limited to the pack’s maximum power.

A: When you mount a modifier (like a standard reflector or a Para) and turn the focusing knob on the side of the Pulso G, the actual flash tube moves forwards or backwards inside the modifier. Moving the tube deeper into the reflector creates a harder, narrower “spot” beam, while pushing it outward creates a softer, wider “flood” beam.
